Pu-erh tea is one of the most complex and renowned teas in the world of Chinese tea. It is widely considered by many to be the final frontier of tea. Take the idea of that and multiply it by five, and you get this wonderful, wonderful tea. Sipscollection is proud to offer a four year aged ancient tree Mengku Daxueshan raw pu-erh tea. As the name suggests, this tea is made from ancient trees (古树), which are trees of age 200 years and above.

This tea was sourced from a good friend of ours who owns a teashop in Taiwan. He personally goes to Mengku Daxueshan each harvest season to oversee the harvest of the ancient trees in the area. It's taste is silky smooth, lush and raw in nature, yet bursting with floral and green fragrance all over your mouth. Don't drink this tea on an empty stomach, because the effect that this tea has on your body is second to none. Don't forget to steep the first steep longer to allow this dragon ball pu-erh to open up. It is relatively more compressed compared to other dragon balls out there.

Let this tea speak for itself. Let the terroir speak for itself. Let the age of the trees speak for itself. This tea is a treat.

    * Ultimately, experiment with the different parameters to find what works for you. If you think it's too bitter, reduce the temperature. If it's too strong, reduce the number of leaves used. This is just a guide with rough parameters to get you started.
